YouTube Description
WOW!!! Over 1000 subscribers already!
I try to celebrate the milestone event by planting a tree and then trying to blow it up in some needlessly complicated, yet epic, manner.
The party kinda falls apart when our guest of honor refuses to go to his special seat, and raises a hissy fit.
I've already started to plan our next party for if / when I hit 2500 subscribers. It'll be off the hook!
BTW: After watching the video, it seems the creeper was refusing to move because a block was missing in his path where the torch was attached to the tree.
Synopsis
The episode starts off with Etho welcoming his viewers to the 9th episode. He says he passed 1,000 subscribers on YouTube. He plants a sapling to celebrate, saying it will be a "great tree." He says he wants to have a party, and says he has a shopping list of stuff to get.
The video cuts to Etho getting some redstone, 1 log, some gunpowder, sand, a pressure plate, an "epic" button, some more wood (which get turned into planks, then doors and signs), and lava bucket. He goes upstairs and kills a creeper for more gunpowder. He also kills a zombie, and narrowly avoids an exploding creeper. He walks over to the skylight and finds a creeper hiding, which he kills. He uses the sand and gunpowder to make some TNT. The video also cuts to Etho mining some sugar cane.
Back at the sapling, now deemed a future "epic tree," he digs a hole around the sapling. He places some sand to avoid water and continues digging around and under the sapling. He places some redstone and a button to activate it. He covers up the redstone, then places the log under the sapling, and dirt around the tree. Next, he places some lava, then he places the sugar cane due to a glitch. He covers the lava up. He places a sign next to the button and puts "1000+ Subscribers" on it. He places another that says "DO NOT PRESS!!!"
The video cuts to the tree being fully grown, he staircases up to the top of the tree. He places a pressure plate at the top, then some doors as well, stating he hopes for the "guest of honor" to show up. He expands the dirt staircase and adds a path past the trap as a "safety precaution." He digs out the dirt under it so it can "catch on fire quicker." He places some "totally unnoticeable" TNT inside the tree.
After the party is prepped, he goes to find a creeper to bring up the tree. However, the creeper refuses to walk into the trap. A skeleton shows up in the water and starts shooting at Etho, knocking him off his platform, twice. The video cuts to Etho finding another creeper. However, once the creeper is brought back up the tree, it still refuses to go inside the trap. The time cuts to day, and still the creeper doesn't want to enter. Etho tries to break a door to get it to enter, but it doesn't, blowing up the tree in the process.
The video cuts to the tree being completely gone, with just a TNT remaining. Etho deemed the party an "epic fail." He uses wool to rebuild the tree instead. Once it's built, he presses the button to blow up the tree. After a bit of time, the tree lights on fire, and the TNT explodes. Immediately after, Etho deems the party over and starts cleaning up.
Back in the Mob Farm cave, Etho gives an update on the Mob Trap. He shows off his resources, like redstone, iron, and gold. He shows off what he mined, and briefly shows a cave. He actually finds out he was digging too high above the lava, then shows off a second layer he mined where he got all the resources. He showcases some diamonds he found as well. He then thanks the viewers for watching and subscribing, before ending off the episode.
