Summary

Minecraft modded. In this series we take on the Project Ozone 2 Kappa mode in a Skyblock style map. Kappa mode changes the recipes and game to be much more difficult to challenge seasoned mod pack players. We're also trying this in hardcore mode, 3 lives to start with.

Plot

The episode starts off with Etho briefly introducing the mod-pack and comparing it to the SkyFactory 2.5 series he did. He starts mining and collecting materials and describing Kappa mode, a harder difficulty. He showcases this by showing a Piston as an example.

He then showcases the quest book, comparing it to the Crash Landing series he did. He claims a quest and opens a reward bag, getting four elevators. He goes back to mining logs and crafting tools to finish quests. He gets a crook from a reward bag and works more on the platform. He mines some more trees and places barrels down to make dirt.

He grinds a bit to collect 20 silkworms, as the day turns into night. The night is a blood moon, which causes more powerful mobs. He begins to create pebbles by clicking dirt to create cobblestone. He creates a furnace to make torches to provide light (despite getting 32 Glowstone walls earlier in the episode), and collects more pebbles. He places some silkworms into the tree to spread.

After collecting some more cobblestone, he makes a hammer to convert the cobblestone to gravel, then to sand and dust. Once he mines the silkwormed leaves to get string to make a sifter. He expands the platform and places more torches down to prevent mobs from spawning. He places the sifter and builds a chest to place sifted items into. Then, he begins to start sifting.

He places a chest for extra items on another part of the island, putting some items deemed "garbage," and starts turning more saplings to dirt. He builds an engineer's hammer and makes iron plates to make a bucket for water and makes an infinite spring. He sifts to get some more items, getting redstone and more bone meal in the process, but not blaze powder. He builds and fires a crucible, and converts more cobblestone into dust. He also puts some cobblestone into the crucible to start making lava.

Next, he starts to make a cobblestone generator. He builds out an area near the garbage chest and continues waiting for the lava to generate. He starts making more dirt, which he sifts with the dust to get more items. He gets cat ears and evil eyebrows from a reward book. He puts on the eyebrows and throws the cat ears off the island.

A montage plays of him mining more cobblestone and converting it to dust, which he starts sifting. The video cuts to a finished session of sifting, and Etho shows off his loot. He converts and smelts some ore from the sifting. He begins to craft a block breaker, which he does not have enough cobblestone for, prompting him to check the status of the lava, which turns out to be ready. He finishes up the cobblestone generator and mines some cobblestone.

After getting all the materials, he gets a block breaker, and hooks it up to the cobblestone generator. He tries to make a redstone clock, and realizes he doesn't have enough redstone. He sifts some more dust to get more redstone to make it. He does get enough, and makes a redstone clock and hooks it up to the block breaker, which automatically spits out cobblestone, which he sets a drawer up to collect the cobblestone.

He begins sifting dirt to try to get a rubber tree sapling and seeds, which he ends up getting quickly. He claims the quest reward for getting the seed. He takes a bit to organize his items. After he's done, he starts crafting Tinkers' Construct blocks and items. He places down the crafted items, and drops off some more items.

At the end, he concludes the episode by asking the viewers if he should continue the series, and demonstrates some recipes at the end of the game.

Memorable Quotes

  • "32 Glowstone Glass Walls? See, that's a little bit more useless" (later in the episode) "We need torches! I don't think we're gonna make it in time"
  • "Sift, get lots of redstone, 13% my butt- oh there we go!"
  • "In the early game, there's not a lot of stuff we can use that we can get easily that does that. That was a good constructed sentenced- a well constructed sentence. Ah, I'm on fire today."
