"It Begins!" is the 1st episode of Etho's "Etho Plays Minecraft" series. The episode formally starts off the entire series.

Summary
From the description of the video:
I got a headset now and I decided I would try start a LP series because a lot of people have been asking me to. I'll still be posting new invention / tutorial videos separate from the LP videos.
Hopefully this LP will be a bit different than most minecraft LPs. I have a few guildlines I'll try to follow in my episodes:
- 1: I'm going to try teach you how to build cool, functioning things in mine craft.
- 2: I'm not going to explain all the basic introductory details about the game to you.
- 3: I am not going to focus on killing mobs, exploring, or building things that serve no purpose.
- 4: I'm not going to build things and then show them to you. This is a "Let's" Play, meaning I want you there with me when I build, plan, and discover things.
I am aware that my commentary is a bit dry and flat, but I'm hoping that will improve as I do this more.
Plot
The episodes starts off with Etho introducing himself and says he's starting the series because people have requested him to make a series. He states he will play on Hard mode (an option he still uses to this day). He goes around exploring the world, then punches down a tree. While he does, he tells the viewers how he'll assume everyone knows how the game works. After a bit, he makes an axe to cut down more trees, points out some clay, then swims over to another island to cut down some more trees and mine coal.
Once he gets back to the main island, he digs a hole in the ground for a subway-style station for water roads. He states he is digging the hole to get resources. He begins to make an EATS Road underground and describes his plan for it. At the end, the sun has risen and he digs out of his hole and the episode concludes.
